Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to an unbearable as well as horrible experience of the residents of the Behala area for the last few months.
The lives of common people in the area have now been virtually in the hands of antisocial elements. The antisocial activities have become so rampant that peace-loving common people dare not take any legal action risking their own lives and security.
From dawn to dusk they fall upon the passersby and rob them of their belongings. They tease the school-going girls on their way to school.
Sometimes bombs and brickbats are thrown when there are pitched battles between two groups of anti-socials. The increase in antisocial activities has become a headache with the people in the area.
It is high time that proper steps should be taken immediately to stop the reign of terror.
